H1st Test Day 5 Highlights: Mohammed Shami picked up a 5-wicket haul in the second innings as India knocked South Africa over for 191, sealing the win.

A 5-wicket haul for Mohammed Shami and four wickets for Ravindra Jadeja on Day 5 helped India register a comfortable 203-run win over South Africa in the first Test. Virat Kohli's team now leads the three-match series 1-0. It was a match that India dominated from the start with Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal setting the stage with the brilliant batting performances in the first innings. Centuries from Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock proved to be a minor blip as India coasted home on the final day of the Test. Rohit Sharma hit twin centuries in his first match as Test opener while Mayank Agarwal converted his maiden century into a double hundred. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up his 27th 5-wicket haul while also becoming the joint-fastest bowler to claim 350 Test scalps. South Africa will be looking for a better performance come the second Test match in Pune which begins on October 10.

KOLKATA: Mushfiqur Rahim could only delay, not deny India with his attacking 74. In just 47 minutes and 52 balls on a sunny afternoon, the first-ever pink-ball Test in India was over before the first drinks break on the third day. It was the pacers who once again did the job for India. Umesh Yadav grabbed all three wickets that fell on Sunday (Mahmudullah didn't come out to resume his innings) to bag a fifer, denying Ishant Sharma his second five-wicket haul of the match. But the Delhi pacer, who bagged nine for 78 in the match, was adjudged Man-of-the-Match and Series. He had three in Indore, where the bulk of wickets had been pocketed by Mohammad Shami. The Indian pacers thus captured all 19 Bangladesh wickets that fell in this Test. From the time
